Amanda Wright is the owner of Magellan Coaching and a Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC) who specializes in coaching people in transition who are ready for more out of their life. Her clients often are making career or family changes, geographic changes or are embarking on an ‘inner’ transition of personal growth and leadership. Through her unique, creative and intuitive coaching style, Amanda helps people reconnect with themselves and their values so they can enjoy the journey of the transition period.
Amanda currently lives in Middleburg, VA with her husband Jon and enjoys running, hiking and traveling. As part of their commitment to leading a full and enriching life, Amanda and her husband recently fulfilled a dream of traveling to Africa for 4 months. For part of their trip they volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Lesotho and facilitated Life Coaching workshops for business groups in Kenya. Amanda’s experience as a world traveler, Physical Therapist and marathon runner provides energy, enthusiasm and perspective to her clients. She also has a special interest in healthy living and wellness and understands the importance of the connection between the mind and body. As a Physical Therapist and Body-Centered Trained Coach, she helps her clients listen and learn from the signals in the body.
Amanda is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and has a Co-Active Coach certification (CPCC) as well as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coach Federation. She also holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Duke University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University and a Professional Manager Certificate from Georgetown University.
