Amanda Wright, owner of Magellan Coaching, employs the Co-Active Coaching model taught by the Coaches Training Institute. This type of coaching puts you, the client, and your coach as equal partners working together to achieve your goals. Your coach does not give you opinions or solutions, but supports you to find your own purpose, direction and desired outcome.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling or cheerleading. Coaching holds that you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. You provide the agenda for the coaching and your coach helps you to keep your overall goals in mind as you learn more about who you are and what you want. Coaching helps you to move toward action on creating the life you want to live and holds you accountable for reaching your goals. Usually ‘homework’ is assigned between sessions to help move you toward your goals as well as to learn more about yourself.
